Legal Battle Unfolds: Cher’s Conservatorship Bid Denied as Son, Elijah Blue Allman, Counters Allegations

In the latest news, Cher previously filed for the role of conservatorship for her son Elijah Blue Allman’s finances, and the decision wasn’t announced. Now, the decision has been made: Los Angeles Supreme County Judge rejected Cher’s petition. According to reports, Judge Jessica Uzcategui was ‘not persuaded’ to appoint the 77-year-old Cher as a temporary conservator because her lawyers gave Allman ‘at best less than 24 hours notice’ of the court action and refused to share important information with him about the case.”

The judge set a new hearing date for January 29 and ordered Cher’s legal team to share all the confidential information they have with Allman’s lawyers a week before. Cher claimed that her son Allman is missing, but he showed up at the hearing with his wife named Marieangela King

Previously, Cher filed for a conservatorship over Allman’s estate, asserting that he is presently mentally unfit to manage his resources due to substance abuse issues. Cher told the court, “Any funds distributed to Elijah will immediately be spent on drugs, leaving Elijah with no assets to provide for himself, and putting Elijah’s life at risk.”

In response, Allman strongly objected, arguing, “A conservatorship of the estate is not necessary at this time. No reason exists for the appointment of a conservator. The proposed conservator is not entitled to priority, and the proposed conservator is unfit to serve.” Allman admitted that he struggled with addictions and spent money where he shouldn’t have, but he insisted that he is taking care of his addiction with professional help and attending AA meetings. He expressed his willingness to undergo any drug test to verify his sobriety, stating, “I am clean and sober from illicit substances for over 90 days now and am fully capable of and committed to managing the money I receive quarterly from the trust left by my late father.”

Allman also claimed that his marriage is now stable and wants his wife to be appointed conservator if necessary. However, he believes it won’t be necessary, expressing gratitude for his mother’s positive intentions but stating that he does not need her support at this time.Clear
