MrBeast Rules Out Publishing Videos On X: Elon Musk’s Social Network Does Not Seem Profitable To Him
The YouTuber MrBeast believes he would not recover a fraction of what he invested, even if he has billions
The YouTuber MrBeast believes he would not recover a fraction of what he invested, even if he has billions of views on X.
MrBeast, Jimmy Donaldson, has rejected the possibility of publishing his videos on X (formerly Twitter), Elon Musk’s platform.
After announcing a new video on YouTube through his X account, a user also asked him to upload it to X.
Elon Musk joined the request with a simple “Yeah.”
MrBeast and his response: The most popular YouTuber in the world, with 224 million subscribers, responded.
“My videos cost millions to make and even if they have billions of views on X, I couldn’t cover a fraction of the investment,” he explained.
Donaldson opened the door to trying it “when monetization is really working.” This closes the door to MrBeast content on X. In 2023 alone, the social network was estimated to lose 1.5 billion in advertising revenue.
Despite having a specialist in the advertising business as CEO, the presence of pro-Nazi content and the controversies around Elon Musk have affected revenue from this concept.
At the end of November, Elon Musk told advertisers who had not invested days before that he generated controversy for supporting an anti-Semitic theory.
