Netflix has decided not to release Halle Berry’s Sci-fi film, The Mothership. The movie finished its filming in 2021 but faced delays in post-production, some scenes needed to be reshooted but the problem was there were kids as well involved in the scenes who had aged now causing complications.

The Mothership written and directed by Matt Charman, had Berry playing Sara Morse, a wife whose husband suddenly disappeared from their farm, the storyline of the movie centers around Morse searching for her husband while her kids assist her in the search and the uncover an extraterrestrial object under their home

Halle Berry signed a deal with Netflix in November 2021 collaborating to produce new films, while the Mothership is now on hold, Berry is still working with Netflix on her next movie, The Union starring alongside Mark Wahlberg in a high-stakes U.S. intelligence mission.

Berr’s collaboration with Netflix began after her directorial debut, Bruised Streamed on Netflix which was a massive hit, Bruised reached No.1 in the U.S. And topped the charts in 21 Countries, in the film Berry played Jackie Justice, a retired mixed martial arts fighter.

At Bruised premiere, Berry shared the reason behind her decision to direct such a movie “I was told a long time ago that if you’re going to direct a story and be a filmmaker, especially your first movie, you best make it about something that you love and something you intrinsically understand. And I love the fight game.”

Halle Berry has not yet provided comments to media outlets regarding ‘The Mothership’ and the reasons behind Netflix postponing the show’s release, including any information on the potential next release date
