Chinese Government Introduces Upgraded Foreign Permanent Resident ID Card

On Friday, the Beijing National Immigration Administration embarked on a new initiative aimed at enhancing the experience for foreign permanent residents in China. This involves the issuance of a new identification card, the China Foreign Permanent Resident ID Card of the People’s Republic of China.

On the same day, the Administration distributed 50 of China Foreign Permanent Resident ID cards to permanent residents hailing from various regions. These cardholders represent over 20 countries, including the United States, Germany, the UK, France, and Russia. Among them are scholars, professors, and individuals holding high-level management positions who have made significant contributions to China’s development.

The design of the latest card maintains the original style while incorporating five-star symbols, reminiscent of the Chinese national flag, and optimizing the overall layout.

Officials highlight that this new China Foreign Permanent Resident ID Card opens a gateway for foreign permanents, offering a hassle-free living environment and delivering the best possible services.
