It is Red One and will be available on the platform in 2023.

At the moment, no details of the plot are known, but part of the team behind the film is known, such as Hiram Garcia, the person responsible for the original idea. Working alongside him will be Jake Kasdan (Jumanji franchise) directing and Chris Morgan (Fast & Furious saga) writing the script.

Months ago, the first official image of Johnson and Evans from the filming set was released. Thanks to this publication, it was learned that the Black Adam actor will play Callum Drift, while the Captain America star will play Jack O’Malley.

But in addition to the charismatic duo that will lead the film, Red One has an outstanding list of actors and actresses. The rest of the cast features Kiernan Shipka, Lucy Liu, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Nick Kroll, Kristofer Hivju, and Oscar winner J.K. Simmons.

This fact confirms that the film will follow the strategy adopted by Amazon MGM for the distribution of its major films. Since the acquisition of the studio in 2021 and the subsequent merger, the company has decided to distribute some of its productions in theaters before their arrival on the streaming platform. 

Former Avenger Chris Evans (Defending Jacob, An Exceptional Gift) continues with the genre that has launched him to stardom, action with comedy overtones alongside another expert in the field, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson (Red Alert, A Spy and a Half).

It is not the first time these two actors have participated in the same project, although it will be the first time they work hand in hand.
